SONICA SDN. BHD. was established to provide the latest multimedia technology solutions. We believe in software and hardware integration, so we work closely with major audio & video equipment suppliers and international manufacturers around the world.

We are dealer for Apple Mac Pro, Final Cut Studio & Logic Pro software, ROLAND RSS, EDIROL audio & video, TASCAM, MOTU (Mark of the Unicorn), Digidesign LE, RODE microphones, Genelecs, Focusrite, Universal Audio DSP, SAMSON and Konig & Meyer studio accessories in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

SONICA was founded in 2003 by SHAWN CHONG, who is a drummer and a young entrepreneur. Shawn Chong is a graduate of School of Audio Engineering (SAE), receiving his diploma in Audio Engineering, majoring in studio recording and sound design, back in 1999. He worked in SCAT PRODUCTIONS as a studio engineer and later joined SAE Malaysia as an audio lecturer. He then spent three years working for local Tascam distributor as the Sales Representative before turning his focus to the solution business, specifically the professional audio business. He has since set up music production systems for various production houses in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya.

Shawn Chong is now the certified Apple Logic Pro level 2-user and recognized by ROLAND ASIA PACIFIC as a certified RSS (ROLAND SYSTEM SOLUTION) integrator.

Lew Yih Huei is the system engineer for SONICA since 2006. He graduated from SAE Malaysia in 2004. His experience includes working in TV3 and Fuse Asia as an audio engineer.
